302M
Alpine/Austere Environments
The Alpine/ Austere Environments course (302A/B) was developed to meet the growing need for tactical and rescue teams to operate and land in alpine or austere enviornments not commonly found at typical training sites. Students will receive in-depth exposure to evaluating terrain, winds, and other environmental factors, that are critical to landing in the alpine environment.
The 302A was designed for LZ’s 5000’ and below, while the 302B is designed to expose students to landing at LZ’s above 5000’ and often above 10,000’.
Due to the nature of this course students must be free-fall or solo qualified and have attended at least a 101/201, preferably a 202 and/or 203, and have over 200 jumps for the 302B course
